Oh oh oh oh I LOVED this book I read it about a gazillion times and I LOVED Number the Stars as well.

I thought the two follow-up books to the Giver lacked the ... awesomeness that the Giver was so full of. I guess, after The Giver, nothing could measure up really.

Highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone who hasn't read it...ooh I should give my sis a copy to read...she's finally at the age where she can appreciate it.

How on earth did I not know there were follow up books?! I have to go find them now, and kick myself repeatedly.

Lol they're not really sequels though, more like companions...like they MENTION certain previous characters and places, but don't have much else to do with them...

I read this in seventh grade... it was the only book my class actually liked

It's awesome! The world they introduce and everything is so cool... not really, but you know what I mean haha

It would be a cool movie too haha... shot in black and white and then

Spoiler:

Just as long as they make Asher good-looking... I always saw him as being good-looking

I'm actually reading it now, for the first time. For some reason I never wanted to, but it's one of my roommate's favorite books. I'm not far, but am enjoying it.
